Chapels/Labyrinth
There are a variety of outdoor chapels located throughout Briarwood. These
chapels can be used for private meditation, outdoor worship space, and weddings.
The Labyrinth (which will be redesigned and rebuilt during the summer of 2008)
is used by many to help achieve a contemplative state. Walking among the
turnings, one loses track of direction and of the outside world, and thus quiets
the mind. The result is a relaxed mental attitude, free of internal
dialog. This is a form of meditation. Many people believe that meditation
has health benefits as well as spiritual benefits.
