Director - Pastor Rob Moore

Rob started as the Executive Director in May 2008. Within his
first month he was visiting with congregational members and leaders,
youth and family ministers, and pastors. He has completed a
visioning process - based on transformational ministry - as we develop
the vision and guiding principles of Briarwood.
Rob previously served as Assistant to the Bishop and Mission Director of
the Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast Synod. Before that he served as a
parish pastor in Kane, PA and Bradford, PA. He grew up in western
Pennsylvania and considers himself to be a "Trekker" (that's a
professional "Trekkie"). |

Operations Director - Matt Baumhardt

Matt began as Briarwood's Operations Director in May of 2008. He
has extensive experience in hotel and resort management. He's also
a whiz at finances.
Matt most recently lived in Illinois where he was working as Production
Supervisor in a promotional company (with a monthly budget of 1.5
million). He graduated from Perdue in Hotel and Resort Management.
He is a dog lover whose best bud is his mutt dog "Willabee." |

Program
Director/Facilities Director - Jon Thompson

Jon also began his ministry at Briarwood in May of 2008. He has
significant experience in camping ministry - including serving on the
programming staff in Boy Scout and Girl Scout Camps. He also is
well versed in grounds keeping, having worked with a professional
landscaping company.
Jon came to Briarwood from Idaho where he had most recently been
working in security and construction. He has a degree in
Organizational Leadership and Supervision from Purdue University.
Jon is also a dog lover whose latest family addition is "Bo," an
energetic puppy. |

Ambassador - Jean Oswald

Jean has been serving at Briarwood for many years - primarily as the
good will ambassador for the ministry. She has been the
spokesperson at many congregations and represented Briarwood and many
ministry events.
"Momma" Jean is currently the one the rest of the staff goes to when
they have any questions. She is the primary person at Briarwood
who answers the phone and gives tours. Her love for Briarwood is
evident in all that she does. |

Head Chef
- Norman Isa
Norm has been with Briarwood since January of 2002. He has a well
deserved reputation of being an excellent chef. Norm is a master
as creating and serving delicious food. You will never have ANY
camp food better than Norm's creations.
Before coming to Briarwood, Norm served in a variety of country clubs in
Texas and Hawaii, most recently as a banquet chef. Briarwood is
blessed to have Norm serving on our staff. |

Assistant Chef - Jeramy Kunkel
Jeramy joined our staff in 2009. He is an excellent addition to
our team. You will see him not only in the kitchen during the week
but serving as the "public chef" for our popular Sunday Brunches.
Jeramy is a graduate of the "Le Cordon Bleu" culinary school and has
served as a chef at Healthy Life Styles and Cantrell's Lakeview
Restaurant before joining our staff. |

Program Assistant - Erin Farley
Erin has been a "regular" at Briarwood for many years -
serving as a summer counselor for several years. After serving
as the Senior Counselor in 2009, Erin joined the staff as our part time
Assistant Program Director. She also serves as the main liaison
with the Lewisville School District (which does all its 5th grade outdoor
learning at Briarwood).
Erin graduated from the University of Louisiana in 2009 with a Bachelor
of Science in Business Management. |

Maintenance Assistant - Brandon
Clark
Brandon served as two summers as a counselor at Briarwood before joining our year round
staff in 2009. He serves part time as our Maintenance Assistant -
serving as Jon's right hand man and even pitching in at the office.
Our ministry has been blessed by Brandon's ministry with us. |
