Camp Activities

at Briarwood

Animal Time

Camper will have the opportunity to learn about, and interact with, some special fuzzy friends and unusual critters under the watchful eye of a middle school science teacher!

Create your own masterpiece as you utilize your imagination and artistic skills to create and build projects based on the day's theme.

The days in Texas may be hot, but the splash of cool water in our pool makes the experience wonderful!

Experience the value of teamwork as you work together with other campers and overcome the obstacles presented in our Co-Ops course!

Briarwood's pond is stocked with bass, bluegill, sunfish and catfish and ready for you to try your hand at fishing. No experience is needed. Fishing is catch and release... and there will be plenty of both!

Body Paint, Water Balloons, Pool Relays and Ooglep (Briarwood's own corn starch concoction) are just a part of the fun on Water Day!

No camp experience is complete without the singing of camp songs - hand motions are not optional! Everyone gets into singing songs from the all-time favorites to the totally ridiculous ones about a moose or a hip...hipp...opotamus!

Deep in the woods of Briarwood campers will have the opportunity to experience a medieval sport. Under the watchful eye of cerified instructors, campers will use modern tools to develop their skills and learn the Olympic method of shooting!

Briarwood may be surrounded by the suburbs, but its woods provide habitat for abundant wildlife. Escape city life to hike the 5 miles of trails to explore this beautful sanctuary!

You haven't ridden a bicycle until you've ridden a trail bike at Briarwood. Briarwood's 5 miles of trails provide an exciting and challenging trail ride!

Gaga Ball is an all-time favorite at Briarwood as campers step into the octagon areana to slap and dodge a ball that bounces around the arena! The ball can't hit anyone above the knee but when it touches your foot, you're out...until the next game - last one standing, wins!

Briarwood has 70 acres for exploration and games. Kickball, tag, Capture the Flag with a twist, basketball and horseshoes are just a few of the games that are played.

Nothing says camp more than the stars in the sky, a roaring campfire, camp songs and S'MORES!

Canoeing on beautiful Lake Lewisville is an activity our high school students get to enjoy!

Zip Line & Climbing

Briarwood’s very own Climbing Tower and 350 foot Zip Line for a challenging and excited activity youth are certain to enjoy!
